Steam-system and heating-coil vacuum breaker
The vacuum breaker admits air to release vacuum in a heating coil or steam circuit. It is described for modulating heating-coil service and for helping protect against freezing and water hammer. Its mechanism is distinct from an automatic condensate drain. Listed construction is stainless steel, with maximum allowable pressure of 10 bar, maximum temperature of 180 °C and 3/8- or 1/2-inch NPT connections. Install it where air can enter the section subject to vacuum.
